CVS Covid testing

Get tested for Coronavirus with CVS Covid testing

CVS Covid testing has different tests to check for Coronavirus (COVID19). The test you need depends on why you are being tested.

The 2 main tests are:

  • PCR test-mainly for symptomatic people, sent to the laboratory for review.
  • Rapid lateral flow test-only for people who have no symptoms and use a device similar to a pregnancy test to quickly give results.

If you have symptoms of COVID19:

Get a PCR test from CVS Covid testing Pharmacy as if you have any of these symptoms, even if they are mild, please as soon as possible:

  • High temperature
  • New, persistent cough
  • Your sense of smell or change or taste
  • You and anyone living with you should stay at home until you get a test result. Leaving your home just to get tested.
  • Anyone in your nursery or support should also stay at home if you have been in close contact with them within 48 hours after the onset of symptoms or before the onset of symptoms.

If you have no symptoms, please check regularly. Now anyone can perform a rapid lateral flow test without symptoms. About one-third of COVID19 patients have no symptoms, but they can still infect others. You should perform a quick test twice a week (every 3 to 4 days) to check for viruses.

If people test positive and self-quarantine, this helps stop the spread of the virus. Even if you are vaccinated, you may still spread COVID19, so you should continue to be tested regularly. If you have no symptoms, please perform a rapid COVID19 test regularly

Other reasons for testing:

Confirm the results of previous tests from the CVS Covid testing pharmacy. If the following conditions occur, please perform a PCR test as soon as possible:

  • You have performed a fast lateral flow test and got a positive result, or if the test sample cannot be read (the result is invalid).
  • A test cannot read PCR and test samples.
  • If you have symptoms, please stay at home until you get a second test result.
  • If you isolate yourself because of close contact with someone who tested positive? If you are in close contact with someone who has tested positive? For COVID19, whether you have symptoms or not, you can be tested by PCR from the CVS Covid testing pharmacy.

What does close contact mean?

Being tested can tell you if you were infected with COVID19 at the time of the test. If you test positive, you can help the CVS pharmacy communicate with people who have your virus. Then they can isolate themselves and avoid spreading it to others.

Even if you test negative, you should continue to isolate for a full 10 days, because you may still be contagious. If you have surgery, you may need to be checked. The CVS Covid testing pharmacy will take care of it for you. If you have any questions, please contact our support person of CVS pharmacy.
