Board exams are important in a student’s life. They help in deciding the course of a student’s life and enable them to specialize in the subject of their choice. Scoring high also means that students can opt for the college of their choice. Now, you already know that ‘studying’ is the most vital tip you must apply while preparing for your exam. There’s no escaping picking up your book and revising every chapter. However, there are a few tips that can help make studying a piece of cake. These tips will also enable you to remember things easily and also teach you how you can use NCERT solutions to the fullest! Read ahead to know more.

Effective Plan For Your Studies

A study schedule or a timetable is imperative. It keeps up the discipline and you know what you are supposed to do each day. Just imagine, having to come home from school every day and then making a plan for your studies? You will surely miss something out and you won’t be able to finish it all in time either. Having a study schedule means you don’t worry about anything and just follow your plan to avoid any anxiety. With a schedule, you will be able to finish your studies on time, have enough left for revisions and mock tests.

 List Of High Scoring Chapters

Every subject has a few chapters from which most of the questions are asked. So, you need to make a list of all the high and low scoring topics. But that being said, all chapters must be given equal importance, but these chapters deserve extra time and effort. Make sure you refer to online websites where you can go through all NCERT Solutions free of cost to aid your learning.

Now, if you are wondering what’s special about NCERT, then it is important to understand that NCERT or National Council of Education Research and Training is an autonomous organization, which was set up by the government in 1961 to help and advise the Central and State boards. So, all the teachers who devise the NCERT Solutions are experts in their field. They have a stronghold of the subject and use simple language to help students understand. Therefore, use additional NCERT reference books to help you out with your studies to ensure you do well in your exams.

Go Through The NCERT Textbooks

The CBSE syllabus is based on the NCERT textbooks, which means NCERT textbooks provide a detailed study of a particular topic. Therefore, keep NCERT books handy. If you are confused about a particular topic or want to learn more, these books are your best bet. For the topics with higher marks, you can make sure you refer to these textbooks for detailed information.

Mock Tests Are Great

NCERT books also have mock tests with solutions. Solving them will help you test your learning. You can easily download the PDFs from online websites too. Start taking mock tests once you have finished with all your portions. That will help you learn if you are weak in any of the topics. If yes, you can start studying them again.

Prioritize Your Textbooks

The first priority is always your textbook. But once you are done going through that, move on to NCERT Solutions. For last-minute preparations, make sure you refer to NCERT solutions as they offer simplified pointers of the topics to help you remember them for your exams.

These were some of the tips to help you prepare for your exam with the help of the NCERT books. Now, let’s move on to some expert tips to help you do well in your exam.

Time Management

After you have studied and before you give your exam, it is important that you learn how to manage time. You will only be granted a particular amount of time, 3 hours for CBSE exams. So, you need to finish answering all your questions worth 80 marks in this given time. The best way to do it is to start answering all the questions you know. When you are doing so, don’t forget to write the section and the question number properly. Once you are done with it, move on to all the questions that you were confused about or didn’t remember answers to.

Just take a deep breath and get on to answering them. Don’t waste too much time on one answer. If you think a particular question is taking too much time, move on to the next one. Once you are done, you can check the time you have. If there is time for a third attempt, go for it. Otherwise, do a quick revision of everything you have written to see there are no mistakes.

Keep Calm

Some students get incredibly nervous by the mere thought of giving an exam. If you are one of those, remember to keep your calm. There are some ways to overcome this fear. They include;

  • Meditation: Start meditating at least a month before your exam. It doesn’t have to be for hours, but just a few minutes will suffice. You can also make use of guided meditation videos to help you out.
  • Mindfulness: Mindfulness is a technique where you try to ground yourself at that moment to calm yourself. If you ever get too anxious, just make a mental note of five things you can see, feel, and hear. It will help you calm yourself.

Make sure you utilize these simple steps. You can just incorporate them into your everyday routine and you don’t have to do anything extra. Hope this helps!
