How to Gauge Your Fitness Level?

There are numerous myths and misconceptions that prevail about health and fitness, even in the current, modern world. One popular misconception is that fitness is measured by how much weight someone can lift in the gym, how quickly or far they can run, or how their body appears in a swimming costume. In practice, however, these are not the standards by which fitness is measured.

It is important to note that every person’s level of fitness is different just like different people follow different practices to get to their body goals. Some only work out and eat clean, while others use Anavar steroids, change their entire lifestyle, and spend most of their time in the gym. So, determining one’s level of fitness or health might be challenging

With that said, let’s find out about some effective ways you can follow to gauge your fitness level:

Mile Run

Try this test to find out about your cardiovascular fitness. It can be done by running on a predetermined route. Examine how long it took you to accomplish a mile of running. If you experience dizziness or wind while running, it means you need to improve your fitness. If you don’t feel dizzy, this implies that you’re in good shape. This course should take no more than 9 minutes to complete.

Resting Heart Rate

It’s actually a very simple, and effective at the same time, way to determine one’s fitness level. Your aerobic fitness level is higher if your RHR, or the frequency of your heartbeat in a minute, is lower. It also means you have a healthy cardiovascular system. When you are relaxing, be sure you are counting your heartbeat.

Balance

It is yet another important aspect in measuring good health and fitness. This method requires standing on one foot for a minute. During this time, keep your arms by your sides. If you can do so without falling, you have a good sense of balance. To avoid being injured if you fall down, it’s best to stand close to a table, wall, or chair while checking your balance.

In case your balance isn’t up to par, try some balance-building workouts like Pilates or yoga.

Flexibility

This component assesses not only your fitness but also your body’s flexibility. You’ll need to sit on the floor, stretch your legs out, and try to touch your toes to accomplish this. It’s crucial to note that being unable to touch your toes does not necessarily mean you’re unfit. The key is to determine how far you can go past your knee. If you go beyond your knees, it signifies you need to improve your general fitness.

Push-Ups

Doing push ups is another common approach to assess your fitness. It indicates upper body strength and endurance levels. You may test and analyze the strength of your chest, abdominals, and shoulders with this workout. Your fitness level is determined by the number of pushups you can complete in a given amount of time. The ideal number for men is 20, while the ideal number for women is 12. Anything less than these numbers necessitates a focus on your fitness.

Waist to Hip Ratio

This test will tell you how much fat you have on your body. If you have excess fat in your stomach, it’s a sign that your health and fitness aren’t as good as they should be. There’s also a possibility of developing heart disease. For males and women, the optimal waist to hip ratio is .9 and .8, respectively.

To find out your waist to hip ratio, measure the circumference of the smallest part of your waist and the broadest area of your hips. Divide the waist number by the hips number once you have both figures. Your waist-to-hip ratio will be determined.

By performing these techniques if you find out your fitness level isn’t up to the mark, it’s imperative that you start working out at the earliest. Our recommendation would be to hire a fitness trainer. However, the first thing to do is to set your goal. If you are fascinated by a bodybuilder-like physique, you would need to make a lot of changes to your lifestyle and eating habits. Also, depending on your fitness level, the use of steroids may also be incorporated. In this case, make sure to buy anabolic steroids from a reputable place, such as Steroids Fax.
