The iPhone has been around for years, but there is no easy way to create your ringtones on your phone, but it is possible. If you don’t want to use the ringtones that you have on your iPhone or you don’t want to buy a new ringtone, the sonnerie telephone can make ringtones for you.
This process has changed slightly with the release of phone ringtone 12.7. The audio library was previously synced, but you can still manually place ringtone files on your phone. All the ringtones you have saved to phone ringtone are now located in C.
Step 1: Get the phone ringtone
On newer iPhones, you rarely need to use the phone ringtone, but there are times when you need a custom ringtone.
Windows PC needs to have the latest version of the Apple phone ringtone installed. The free portable phone ringtone software is already installed on your Mac and ready to use.
The recommendations in this article will continue to work if you use the phone ringtone on your PC or if you have an older version of macOS that still has iTunes.
Step Two: Choose a Sound File
You will need an audio clip to convert and use as a ringtone for this. You must have an idea before about which audio you want to convert. If not, go to search google and find any audio or video you like. You can use any audio or video file you like.
The length of the audio track must be less than 40 secs or less. Phone ringtone refuses to copy ringtones longer than 40 seconds to your phone.
If the ringtone is longer than 40 seconds, you can edit the file to shorten it to 40 seconds or less. You can edit it using any audio editor. We recommend a simple tool like mp3cut.net, a completely free website. Go to the website, select an MP3 file or any other file format you want to convert to a ringtone, and click the “Open” button. You can convert both audio and video files on this site.
Select the part you like from the downloaded file and “cut”.
Download this file as you will be using it to import into the Phone ringtone.
Step 3: Convert MP3 to AAC
If you have an MP3 file format, you need to change it to AAC format to use it as a ringtone. (If your file is already in AAC format with .m4r extension, you can skip this part.)
First, add a sound file to the Phone ringtone and test it in the library. You can drag and drop files directly into the Phone ringtone Library. See the files in Library > Songs.
In the Phone ringtone app, select an audio file and click File > Convert > Create AAC Version.
Step 4: Rename the AAC File
Finally, you have two file copies, one of the original MP3 and the other of the new AAC file in the Phone ringtone library. To save items, right-click on the header of the Phone ringtone library and enable the “Kind” column.
You will see a new column “Type” indicating which file is which. “MPEG Audio File” is the original MP3 and “AAC Audio File” is the new AAC file.
You now have an AAC file to use as your ringtone. However, you need to change the file extension of the Phone ringtone to recognize it as a ringtone file.
First, drag the AAC file from the Phone ringtone Library to your desktop or another folder on your computer.
The resulting AAC file has an extension of .m4a. change the extension to .m4r. For example, the file song.m4a should be replaced with song.m4r.
Step 5: Add Ringtone File to iPhone
Now finally connect iPhone to Mac or PC. After unlocking the iPhone, you must click the “Trust” button to allow the phone to connect to the computer. You have to enter your PIN.
In the portable free Phone ringtone, click the device icon to the left of the library.
In the left sidebar, click Sounds from my device.
Copy the .m4r ringtone file from the folder and paste it into the Tone section of the Phone ringtone program.
The Phone ringtone syncs your ringtones with your iPhone and immediately appears in the tone section of your device.
Step 6: Choose Ringtone
Now you can pick up your phone and go to Settings > Sound & Tactile > Ringtone to choose your ringtone. Any ringtones you’ve added will appear at the top of the list.
You can also choose a ringtone for a specific contact so you can tell who is calling just by the sound.
To remove the ringtone, just right-click on the file and select Remove from Library.
